BMHS SPRING TEACH-IN

Open to all members, with or without horses. Please note that we will not be able to clip your horse, but can offer advice and help with final preparations for the ring. There will be horses available for ‘practice’, or you can bring your own.
We aim to include the following during the day:-
| Tea/Coffee from 10am. | If you are bringing horses to be stabled please arrive by this time. Introduction and basic care , feeding, exercise etc of the miniature horse. |
| 10.30am –12.30pm | Basic show preparation, cleaning, grooming, (stableyard area) clipping demonstrations, choice of tack etc |
| 12.30pm-1.30pm | Lunch, during which videos of previous shows will be shown, and there will be time to ask questions about your own horse and any problems you have. |
| 1.30pm-4.00pm | Demonstrations of ring craft and showing skills (Indoor arena) followed by hands on sessions and judged class. An introduction to long reigning and driving demonstration. |
| 4.00pm-6.00pm | Tea/coffee and break, (mucking out/feeding time) |
| 6pm- whenever | Buffet Supper, and a chance to ask questions and (In house) generally gossip! (please bring a bottle) |
We have limited overnight accommodation, but there are plenty of B&B’s in the area, please ring (soon!) for details. Horseboxes etc are welcome to park overnight, toilets with H/C water on site.
Priority for stabling will be given to new/novice members, please book ASAP
