Classes this year were held on the last day (Thursday) instead of the usual first day. The most notable change though was the weather! From the normal wet, windy and very chilly days we have had in previous years, this year we were blessed with spring sunshine which was a real joy for spectators, handlers and most particularly the horses as the classes were held in the big outdoor arena.

Although entries were lower than in the past, those that qualified were all justly deserved. The Judge, Mrs Tarran-Jones remarked to those showing that she felt the quality of our horses is improving year on year which was a great compliment to the owner / breeders who were there.

As there were few horses in the classes, the Judge gave the spectators a really good opportunity to see each one but asking them to perform an extended individual show - walk and trot figures of eight - as well as the traditional walk and trot up.
